Case of giant cell tumour of proximal tibia treated with intra-lesion curettage with adjuvant therapy and reconstruction with the sandwich technique fixation

<p>Giant cell tumour (GCT) of bone is a benign but locally aggressive with the potential malignant transformation that mostly involves meta-epiphyseal region long bones. A 34-year-old female was presented to our institute progressive pain and swelling in her right knee radiologically histologically found have GCT proximal tibia. She treated extended curettage power burr, intra-lesion phenol application internal fixation using sandwich technique. No recurrence procedure led good functional outcome. tibia joint preserving surgery technique gives optimal results leading outcome.</p>
